Juanita Lolita's comedy career began when a co-worker signed her
up for an open mic night. Within one year, she was performing for over 7,000 women at a church conference for Taffy Dollar in Atlanta, and since then has performed throughout the southeast. She was featured on CTN's Herman and Sharron show, the Homekeeper's show, CBS, and voted Tampa's funniest female. She was also voted "Best of the Bay" with Creative Loafing Magazine and was a Vegas finalist in the World Series of Comedy. Juanita quickly learned that performing clean comedy in the secular clubs was her mission field, bringing the light of God to a very dark place. She even shared her faith with Arsenio Hall and Shawn Wayans when performing with them. Her Latin flair and hillbilly background have quickly become a crowd favorite. Juanita loves the fact that she can make you laugh hysterically, without profanity. Her comedy focuses on observations from evervdav life that we can all relate to and she closes out each show with her much anticipated 'list of things she doesn't understand'. |
